Poem a Day Challenge

6 04 2009

I realize today is the 6th, but I wanted to let you know about this : http://blog.writersdigest.com/poeticasides/

It’s a poem a day for the month of April. There’s a daily prompt and you post your poem in the comments. There’s going to be 50 selected out of the thousands posted to be in a free anthology. Neat right?!

I’m going to try and do this, even though I’m going to Italy.

Ah…..I did see this! ya know I thought about it but decided I had enough rejection letters to last a lifetime…or two.

Good luck with it, Im sure you’ll be there at the end with a part of the anthology..Italy? Now Im jealous!

I doubt I’ll be in the anthology, it’s up to 1000 poems per day!!!

As for rejection letters, I send out poems, but I don’t get responses. Which is worse?

Yes I’m going to Italy, despite the earthquake. >__<

Well, just so you know, the longer you dont here anything the better it is..It means they are passing it around to other editors and deciding. A quick rejection just means they really didnt like it. Sometimes it can take a year to get a piece published..So no news is good news….And really, your work is strong, dont be surprised if you are picked….
